Mr. Pidgeon was at Faire’s side Monday, January 11, 2016, for a status hearing. Prior to the scheduled hearing, Pidgeon met with Faire; the meeting between the two men was longer than all previous attorney visits combined for the past seven months.

James Faire has been incarcerated in Okanogan County Jail since June 18, 2015 on false charges stemming from false allegations by Richard Finegold, partner of James’ late friend who lost her battle to breast cancer on June 15, 2015.  To date, according to court records, Faire has not had legal representation since August 18, 2015, which is when the court appointed attorney, Nicholas Blount, withdrew from the case and was disqualified from the Okanogan County public defender’s contract pool for reasons unknown.

Attorney Kelly Seago

Okangon County has failed to provide James Faire with legal counsel. His right to due process has been violated. For the fourth month in a row Attorney Kelly Seago has failed to file a notice of appearance. Prior to Faire’s case being reassigned to Seago, Myles Johnson and Michael Prince both failed to file said notice. Court records show that Judge Henry Rawson pointed out to Seago during three separate status hearings (October – December) that she needed to get the appropriate paperwork filed. As of Monday, Faire wasn’t worth Seago’s time to take care of this small request. Judge Christopher Culp presided over Monday’s hearing and turned a blind eye to Seago’s failure.

Prosecutor Karl Sloan

Prosecutor Karl Sloan

Okanogan County Prosecutor, Karl Sloan, continues to waste his constituents hard earned tax dollars by pursuing life threatening, 1st Degree Murder charges against James. Okanogan County’s behavior of waste is an example of what James Faire has fought against.
